The deadline for submitting available times has passed much to no avail. Seeing as how only one team bothered to submit available times, the tournament will be cancelled. I do not wish any bad memories or feelings, but it is just impractical to host a tournament where the players are uncommitted to their responsibility.
The deadline for requesting tournament time slots is still December 18th. Seeing as how I've received 0 emails so far and that the chances of a virus swallowing my gmail account are ruled out, the tournament may be cancelled if the teams do not request times by the deadline.
My apologies for this third defacement of the site. Hopefully you're not as frustrated as me =), but in any case an update and solution to this repeated problem will come this weekend when I upgrade the forum.
Two new tutorials have been added to GiantsWD. The first one is Darkling's guide to converting Tribes 2 maps into Giants maps. The second guide is SSJBardock's tutorial on how to use his exporter and importer tools for Giants objects.
The tournament will run from January 10th to January 15th (Monday to Saturday) in a round robin fashion. In order to accomodate all the different time zones, there will be a number of time slots available for teams to choose. Available game slots are as follows:
Teams should consult their members to pick four favorable time slots. Further details regarding the infrastructure of this new tournament system and how points will be distributed will come shortly.
I apologize for the recent downtime. Apparently some attention-deprived individuals thought it wise to exploit whatever vulnerability that they did. Considering that this site isn't as mainstream and world dominating as I would like it to be, it is likely that they exploited something common to hundreds of sites, like PhpBB. If further problems persist, I will upgrade the forum version.
