any hope someone will make a patch?
so yeah as we all know the original Kabuto had serious flaws (kabuto's kids not attacking on their own, allied aiming problems, collision detection just to name a very few)
and since the "patch 1.5" was cancelled (though I guess everyone saw that coming ^^) is there any chance someone else will make a patch - for real - that fixes all those issues?

Have you tried the 1.497 BETA Patch yet?
There was another version, 1.498, that would bring a lot of new stuff but developer gave it up due to the small size of the comunity.
The chances of a new patch to be released are equal to zero.

sure but I don't think anyone bought into the "patch 1.5" bluff anyway
(we all knew it'd never see the day that was obvious from the start ^^ )
patch 1.497 is suppose to be buggy as hell (graphical glitches etc.) so that too's useless

I *sometimes* get a bug on maps where it is raining. The terrain and texture models all turn black. This is fixed with either the bumpmap settings or a reboot.falcon wrote:is that always so or only with some machines (or some OS') ?Threnke wrote:the only thing wrong you may realize is the terrain being invisible
But yeah, the BETA patch is a big improvement over the 1.4 patch.
It truly is an old game after all
This always happens on amd and intel graphic cards if you're using a nvidia card you can use landscape bumpmapping with no problems
I've a 4 year old card but it's gtx560 so shouldn't have any probs then? :)

what was left for the final 1.5 patch to fix? (assuming they ever intended to make it, I dunno)

This is the topic about the final version. All things that needed work are listed there.

Well, if a 1.5 patch was to be released, it will probably fix the bugs that were left by 1.497, like the invisible terrain and party house buildings not disappearing after destroyed (my memory isn't that good so I can't list them all) plus new features.falcon wrote:what was left for the final 1.5 patch to fix? The download link is working for me.
