*sigh*

You know, the game being alive relies solely on people playing it. As long as people play it, it won't die. I've heard, like zop, that Giants was dieing from people all the time. But it's been years and it still seems to be alive. Some old players have even come back.

Bardock - I'm not talking about doing anything for the game, just to come to the forum and chat or maybe even play Giants with us sometime.

This is mostly true, but only because new sequels have come out. Giants is dead because there have been no sequels.
Well, not completely dead, but more than many other games.

:!: Planetmoon has made a exclusivity contract with SONY to develop games to PSP... this means that at least for 1 or 2 years(contract with SONY) + 2 or 3 years(min time to develope a game), GIANTS 2 will not be out!!! probably 5 or 6 years until Planetmoon can make a new giants... or not.:!:

Maybe some other company think about making a new GIANTS. But we will whait a long time for sure.
GIANTS is the BEST game i have ever played and is sad that the things turned like this.

On a completely unrelated note, Elfen Lied is awesome.

No new stuff? I think Object importer/exporter is pretty much a good new sequeal (btw i dont know what does this word mean exactly...). Too bad i dont have the required program to make new objects.

Why does there neccessarily need to be a sequal?

Sure, but they can also implement similer gameplay and ideas into new projects. New games always give more room and freedom (usually) than sequals.

I say enjoy Giants for what greatness it holds within, rather than hopefully await a sequel.
