Sniper zoom thingy and light colours..

Post by RichardMH » Thu Dec 28, 2006 11:10 am

Is there no way to fix the problem I have with my latest map? When I use the zoom function with the sniper dido the view gets way too bright. Perhaps its the colour of the "window" that you see ontop of the gun.. That colour mixed with an ok light blue creates a blinding colour when used on my map.

You could use a skin likethis one, including it in your map to solve the problem.

I use the default one and it never struck me as being too bright even on stock mvm2... I'd hate to see how bright your map is. :|

Yeah, it never struck you as bright because that's not the right map. Try this, turn your sunflare and water effects on, then go into Three way island 3.

Fly towards the top of the mountain and look in sniper view with the sun in your view. Now sit there and tell me the sniper screen isn't bright(Note: I was in a dark room when this happened.)

... So don't use the sun flare effect, I never have and never will. Staring at it is too bright even without being in the sniper screen. Stock MvM2 is also one of the brightest maps in the game, brighter than 3way3 IIRC. If you use GRM MvM2 much darker, though.

all my maps are getting an update of anything that buggs me.. if you are refering to the ground texture.. it has a "customly" made texture so it would look more like a snowy texture - thx to google ;)

the weapon menu, jetpack icons and mecc skin are changed by a mod or a zip file

the friend/enemy indicators above the smartie heads are made by me..

The HUD by System Plague probably adds a 'brighter' sniper zoom glass texture, so it might be not a problem with the normal HUD....
