Hi Rocket,

Once you've logged in to your account, visit the main page at: http://www.giantswd.org. You should see a few links above the first news posts if you're logged in properly. One of the links, 'Upload Files,' will allow you to post screenshots in the GWD database.

There are two files that should be uploaded:

a) The actual screenshot
b) A preview of the screenshot

The actual screenshot can be of any size. However, the preview of the screenshot should be less than 12kb and equal to 180x135 resolution. Hope this helps.

Open the file up using paint (right-click, "Open File With") and then click that little box-icon that lets you crop images, and select your entire image. The put your cursor on the bottom-right hand side and move your cursor to the upper-left, complete opposite, until you feel like it's a good size. Then make the paint basckground (white part) the same size using the same technique.

open the file with paint, go to file->save as..., select jpeg as file type and save the file.

Wouldn't it be possible to automatically create a resized screen shot on the server using ImageMagick?

There are alot programs that can help.
http://www.hyperionics.com/ (try this site) its an image editing software

1. go to your gmm map and put insert/print screen
2. then go to Start
3. click on paint and paste the image
4. save the image
5. now go to your image editor (that you downloaded from the site)
and load your image
6. now the only thing you need to do is reducing the size of your image
and then you are ready to upload 8)

if you dont know how to reduce i cant help u try reading the manual :!:

Last time I checked, the server did not have the mod installed for php.
