Anyone know what this means at all?

GIANTS caused a Float Divide by Zero in module GIANTS.EXE at 018f:005107b2.

Or this? The game will NOT start up no matter what. It just causes an error which shuts the program down

I doubt anyone will know what the fu** thats all about. I suppose all you can say in these sort of situations is, does you pc meet thew requirements?

so first off, why'd you get it
If you did it before, and it never came up, then what mistake could you have made?

I doubt having or not having the 1.4 patch would have anything to do with that. It's gotta be how you installed it. Uninstall and reinstall.
Also, check your discs, maybe they're messed up... Although I doubt this'd be the problem.

It never worked. At all.

I'm guessing since the demo (before I got the game) didn't work, this was not going to work either. And for the most part, my assumption was correct. My system meets the requirements, and no other programs could have possible interfered with the installation; I made sure before I even installed it. The discs are perfect, I got it brand new! I have no idea what the problem could be (other than the game hates me). I also installed the 1.4 path right after.

*sigh*....

I guess I'll go play it on PS2....

before you insult god and play the ps2 version, try intalling the latest video drivers for your video card. That's helped me alot lotsa times ;)

Maybe you just have a crappy system and it's below the system requirements? I dunno the actual requirements for the game, so you better check that out.

Yep, Giants is a funny game, one of the main reasons why i play it, that and the gameplay.

266 Mhz, 350 Mhz recommended
Windows: 95/98/Me/XP
64 RAM, 128 RAM recommended
8 D3D comptibale video card, 16 MB recommended
Soundcard compitable with DirectX
Keyboard/Mouse
500 MB of harddrive space

so basically it hardy needs anything at all..
