Did it occur to you at any point during this that if you were getting time outs, your internet might not actually be "good"?

1: you ask for help
2: we give you a possible answer
3: you ask for more help
4: we repeat the answer
5: you say its not that
6: you ask for more help

We allready told you the things that could be wrong.
And if you say it's not that, we can't help you anymore.

Well... as a last resource, you can allways try to re-install gamespy arcade 2.0 and the game itself. =P

but i have no idea if that will work. :?

Actually nobody gave even one solution to the problem before you posted this. Give the guy a break...

@ydemooij: did you install a firewall lately (or maybe windows xp sp2)? Try pinging the person you are trying to connect to through his ip (open up a dos console and type ping 0.0.0.0, replacing 0.0.0.0 with the real ip address) and see if that works. If it does not, there's something wrong with your internet connection. If it does work, it could either be your internet connection or something Giants is doing wrong.
