Timmy’s Tips on Making/Stabilizing a base

First off, the basics about mecc base. They use technology and other devices to better their chances of defending their base. Your objective is to protect your base and destroy the enemies.

The basic buildings

Stone Walls - They're used to protect your base, and stop intruders. It doesn’t do the best job of doing that, but it does leave your opponent no choice but to fly over, letting the SAM turrets (later explained) to take them out. There are 4 stonewalls. Two out of four of the walls have 3 sections that have to be separately destroyed in order to take down a full wall. One of them has two, and is located south of the base. The last one is the entrance, which has a moving door, opening when you get near it. It only has one section, so it can be destroyed easily, so be sure to repair it whenever it is destroyed or in the process of being destroyed.

Shield Generator - It may not look like much, but it is very important. It makes destroying your base 2x harder. Without it, buildings can be destroyed easily. The generator creates a barrier around each building. With it, enemies have to first get past a barrier before destroying the building itself.

Shop - A nifty building that holds all of your weapons, items, and gear. Once inside, your health will steadily grow, and your ammo immediately filled up. It has 2 doors, so other players in multiplayer can use it as well. Be warned, however, because it also has a tower in it, where enemies can hide in, and set bombs, that will surely destroy you.
* If your health is very low, and your in a hurry, a trick you can do is go in, get a health styringe, get out, use it, go back inside, and repeat until your health is full. Very useful if you’re impatient to get out.

Command Center - The strongest of all buildings. It holds your flag inside it, which is a smartie, of Yan or Borjoyzee. This building is the hardest to destroy, and even when it is in the process in getting destroyed, difficult to get in if the ceiling is touching the ground. Its good to destroy it completely if your planning on getting the flag, so you can go in, get it, and get out.

Party House - The most important building out of them all. It can hold as many smarties as the map holds, and allows them to work for you. They hold 6 different constructions that can help your base. Something to keep in mind is, if your party house is partly destroyed, that gives your enemy a chance to go in and steal one of your smarties, and leave. So, during the game, make sure your party house is fixed and never destroyed.

The constructions

Gyropad - A pad with a giant G on it. It allows you 3 helicopters with 150 machine gun ammo, and 3 bombs. The helicopters can fly as far and high as the game allows, and can be refilled if you land on top of the pad. However, it is not very protective. A few shots of the peashooter will destroy it, and so will landing too hard. It is good for transportation and attacking enemy bases, but not for fighting on the battlefield.

Towers - Three towers are in the party house, and can be placed as far high in the sky as you can possibly get. They can be used to hold up turrets, stand on to snipe, or keep look out, and stand in the way of enemies.

Mini Shops - Similar to the bigger shop, this shop holds everything but the pop-up bomb. It is also limited on ammo and items. It can be very useful if your enemy destroys your shop, to use this shop. Keep it hidden, and use it to re-fill, or give you guns to stop your opponent from destroying the rest of your base.
* Even though it is limited on ammo, there is a way to fill it up to full. First, get your weapons, then drop them (default key J), and go into the shop and get them again. Then pick up the ones you dropped. After that, you will now have full ammo. You'll have to do it several times for the machine gun (2500). You can’t do it with items, unless you kill yourself and return to the spot you died.

Mineshaft - These can be used to transport to any spot on the map, besides water and on top of other buildings. Usually used to get to the enemy base quicker, they do have some downsides. One is that when you go through them, they make a sound the enemy might hear. Another is that they have leaves on top of them, making them noticeable. Another is if you go in and out of them. Use them to bomb the enemy base, but if you go through it over and over, they're going to catch on and follow you back, then destroy your shaft. The last setback is that they appear on the map. If your enemy goes to their map, and look real hard, they can see your shaft.
Image

*A nifty trick is if you find the enemy mineshaft, don't destroy it. Place mines in front of it (not so close they blow up the shaft) and when the opponent goes through, they will be bombed and blow up. Very useful if you want to get points, piss your opponent off, and finally destroy their shaft.
*Another trick is to just stand near the shaft, and immediately kill anyone who passes through. If you do it for too long, they'll probably sneak up on you and kill you, knowing your standing near the shaft.

SAM turret/avail turret - The most useful device ever. The SAM turret is used to attack and destroy flying enemies. They lock on and shoot. In order to avoid this if your targeted, is to shoot a flare. The rocket will dodge you and follow the flare. Also, if you’re targeted, you will hear a loud alarm and big red letters. They are incredibly strong and can kill you in a few shots. But at least you get a little warning.
The normal turret is used to destroy walking enemies, and flying ones (it hardly ever works though). They are also strong and can destroy you if you’re ganged up on.
*Make 3 towers, and put 1 turret on each (doesn’t matter what), then destroy the tower with a sniper or machine gun. The turret will stay in the air, and not fall. A set-back is enemies can shoot it from their base with a sniper gun, if its high enough, and once its destroyed, you must repeat the process again. What’s useful is you can use 1 or more turrets for each tower, destroy the tower, then re-build the tower in a new location, and build more turrets there.
*The turrets hold no barrier. None. At all. It doesn't matter if the generator is up, or detente, it can be destroyed.
*If you randomly see a turret shoot something, but you see no enemy, go check it out. It might've been an enemy that showed themselves for 1 second, then got out of the turrets view, so go see and you'll find someone snooping around.
*The turrets cannot see you if your in a bush.

Extra Notes:
*When setting up turrets, spread them out, and put just one near the flag. Whether it’s in the doorway of the command center, or right near it, build one. Don’t put them close together, because it gives the enemy an easier job of destroying them, and it can cause the turrets to shoot each other, and destroy each other. So, spread them out among your base
*When putting up towers, be careful, because enemies can hide in them without your knowledge, and launch a sneak attack.
*When driving a helicopter, and you eject at an extremely high altitude, if the copter lands on the gyropad, it will not be destroyed, it will remain intact with no damage done.
*When your going to capture the enemy flag, go in the command center at a fast speed so turrets can miss you and SAMs wont have enough time to lock on. Once you have the flag, start setting mines in the doorway on your way out. Don’t stop, then set them. Once they're set, blast off with a grenade and rocket. Land quickly, so if the SAM turrets lock onto you, they'll crash into the wall of the base.

Order of destroying enemy buildings (optional, this is just how I do it)
Shield Generator
Party House
Shop
Walls
Command Centers

* Beware of stupid noobs who put their turrets in your base, abuse the pop up bomb, and switch teams, destroy your base, then switch back.

This is my guide to maintaining a mecc base. I'll add more if anything is left out.

It does, but I'll keep the original for nostalgia.

Exploderman taught me how to build a pretty good base, so I'll base it off of that.

Salazar, a big TY for the "mines-at-shaft" strategy. So much people fragged on that trap! But when it comes to bugged shaft, which respawns after destroying it...

There's a fix for that bug: use a pop-up bomb.

That's the only way I ever found out how to permanently destroy an object.

Ye, we figured it out ourselves ages ago too, but it still does annoy me. But when you put your rets on a tower, then destroy it to have them in air, but the tower appears again and again. Pop-Up is, of course, a bad idea, whilst having all your defenses destroyed is not your object... .-.

The farther you are from a pop-up, the less effect it has. Place the bomb farther from the tower so when it blows up, the tower is just barely within its range and it'll be destroyed and the turrets won't be heavily effected.

I can run this maxed out 60fps @1366*768 on my laptop with integrated graphics from 2014.

Giants from GOG.com will work for sure on windows 7 laptops, don't know about windows 10. My Integrated graphics from 2011 will run giants, but not very well (15 fps @ 1366x768 @ medium quality).

I would suggest using a laptop with a dedicated GPU if you can help it. Passmark benchmarks @ http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php may give you more direction.
