There aren't many active players on a random night. It may be better to schedule an event and have others confirm that they'll play at a specific day/time.

GOG does a good job of making updated copies (patched) available: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/giants_citizen_kabuto I haven't tried it, but it's probably patched up to 1.4. I can't offer hosting or FTP services for copies of the game, however you're free to solicit interest in creating a slipstre...
